Thank you for being brave. Choosing to attend therapy is a sign that you value yourself. Life is a series of transitions, and I have learned that it is essential at each stage of my journey to find support and feedback as I seek my truth. A person can eventually reach their full potential through strategies and developing coping mechanisms that promote a greater sense of self-efficacy.
My goal is to assist you in recognizing your inherent strengths that have been developed due to your unique experiences. Everyone comes to this moment with their beliefs, values, morals, and expectations. You are stronger than you think. You are more capable than you think. Often individuals, couples, and families may not recognize their resilience and ability to break toxic cycles within relationships. Sometimes experiences can overwhelm us, making us feel we don’t know the way forward. The process of therapy is turning those overwhelming feelings into a road map. If you can look at the experience from a distance and think about the values and beliefs you want to carry you forward, you will see your path more clearly.
My therapeutic approach facilitates a collaborative process that actively works with you to establish your goals. Once we know where you want to go, we can more closely examine what options are available and what might be standing in your way. Although my approach is integrative, I most frequently use Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Based Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
